Moonlight Lovers Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

Moonlight Lovers

half-moon hanging
between two lone stars
the night air filled
with the scent
of moonflowers glistening
white against the night
i feel like smoking
but i gave up
cigarettes
long ago
i think of the
endless evenings
we sat on the loveseat
out on the patio
talking half the
night away
and then made love
beneath the stars
