Morally Grey Poem by Kay Rose

Morally Grey

You sleep better when I'm not there
You say you love me but that's not fair

You may say it, feel it, even think it but it doesn't matter
Cause you have Kass and make me seem like a mad hatter

Delulu and crazy they are all seem the same
You call me princess and all these other mind boggling names

You drive crazy and make me feel insane
I wonder if you feel the same

When I say your name do butterflies swarm your stomach
When I say I love you do you secretly hate it
do you embrace it
Does it give power
Does it fuel the fire

I want to call you mine
But I can't

I want you to call me yours
But you can't

I want to call you mine
But that's what she does

I want you to call me yours
But that's what you call her.

Your girl, your love, your life
But when you're with me you make it seem like that's all a lie

You look at me with all the love in the world
You treat me like I'm yours
Your forever girl

But then you break that feeling and you mention her name
Reminding me this is all just a game

You say you can't live without her so let's test that theory
If she disappears will you finally kiss me

You say you can't tell her how you're truly feeling
So run to me making me do all the healing

I'm not a relationship therapist but at this point I might as well be

It like he has me glued at my knees
I want to get up but I can't cause when he says my name
I'm back in a trance

My love for him is always endless
When it comes to him I'm defenseless

Right person wrong time

My heart beats faster just be hearing your name
Am I delusional or just clinically insane

I said I was done
I don't think I meant it
Because I'm still here
Hopeless defenseless
Crying pleading
For an once of your attention

I feel like his guardian angel
Here to keep him safe
To protect him and keep him sane
Out of jail and his own mind
Each a different kind of prison
One of a kind

No one knows you like I do
You say she does
Is that honestly true

Here I am trapped inside my head
Waiting for you to come rescue me
But you leave me for dead

It's all about you
Never me
But still I can't get enough

You and that devilish grin..
I regret asking for morally grey men..
