More Childhood Genius - Poem by Jason PraTT

fell into a funk, bought another
spiral notebook with pockets
including a fountain pen
writing about this white girl
named amber and how her
ass looked like a swollen
heart in her pants – yep
I had a thing for white girls
then, but it didn’t last long
because she had a crush
on this dark skinned guy
named brad and then she
became a whore – why, well
brad was on the football team
and his friends got first dibs
on amber’s sweet little ass
countless times and then
one day, I saw her at the
bus stop, she looked like
an overused whore, looking
for the next fix – plus, she
had acquired a gut that rivaled
a gorilla and plus her face had
harvested a diseased look of
acne, which turned out she
had syphilis; needless to say
I didn’t feel sorry for her and
I went home and ripped out
the forty poems that I had
written for her, stating how
beautiful she was
