More Cream Please Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

More Cream Please

In time it will come
Gray like in matter

Thick
Waiting to melt

Like whipped cream on coffee
Dulling sharpness of the black

Donward floating bits

Wisdom at the top
Dripping down to spend time
In the middle

Changing color
Working hard
Not to settle

At the bottom
