More Romance Poem by Ray Hansell

More Romance

I'm reaching for the past
For something that once was good
I know that I shouldn't
I didn't think I ever would

For if the past is forgotten
They say it will be repeated
Trying to find something
That I left uncompleted

You see, love was once mine
But I let it slip away
Maybe that's why I'm all alone
Sitting here today

So, I want to reach back
To ask her for another chance
But I vow that this time
I will show more romance
