More Than Ordinary Sorrow Poem by Poppy Fry

More Than Ordinary Sorrow

teardrops
hanging from my lashes
blood
bleeding from my gashes
run
away from my ashes
ignore
all of the stashes
poison
burning on my tongue
emptiness
something needs to be done
life
was never fun

take
everything
to show
the nothing i am...

alone
my heart is stone
cold as ice
something I'll never sacrifice

take all the pain
from an open vein

inside I'm still a child
I see through my broken smile
blood never ceased to flow
since there's nothing left to show
