Morning Poem by Shipra Agarwal

Morning

I slept in the moon's warm embrace
through the night.
Now the Sun is nudging me
with its colors and patterns and light.

I lie half-asleep in the moon's arms
and smile lazily at the sun.
It's the end of a night of longing
it's the dawn of anticipation.
