Morning Musings Poem by T X Klopfenstein

Morning Musings

Rating: 5.0

Long before the gates of hell
When you were just a dream
There was an awesome emptiness
A prelude to the theme;

The symphony began that day
A trilling melody to shake the soul
Softly, it began-like nothing else before
Existence wrought a created whole.

Moments pass in earthly time,
Just a heartbeat and it's gone
A fascinating contemplation,
That's plagued the mind so long.

What is truth in this age?
That we sell it for glory and gold?
Living is the dying of the heart
And the struggle of the soul.
