Morning Sounds Poem by sarah bradley

Morning Sounds

Rating: 5.0

If its Monday
my alarm clock goes off
' TURN IT OFF! ! TURN IT OFF! ! '
If its foggy i stuff back under the covers, and mumble and grumble
'RUFF! ! BARK! ! ' i hear my dogs, they want their food
' CLICK, CLACK' goes my two hermit crabs, Buddy and Freddie
I smell mom's coffee and dad's eggs cooking
Time to get up and ready for school! ! !
If its Saturday
Cars grumble and find their way down the street
Mr. Wilson's lawnmower eats up the grass
If there is sunshine
' LET ME UP! I'M HUNGRY AND I WANT TO START THE DAY! ! '

Insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. It's not always easy for anyone to wake up promptly and begin to prepare for the day ahead on time, but knowing full well that early birds eat the fattest worms motivates one to rise on time. Thanks for sharing Sarah. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
