Mother Poem by Tanmayi Mukundan

Mother

The soft cradle that rocked us to sleep
The strong shoulders that you held us to weep
The heart that does care like no other
Is that of yours oh! Mother dear!

You taught us to live, you taught us to love
You taught us to stay strong, never to bow
You taught us to accept wins & failure
You taught us to grow year after year

When god couldn't be with us all times
He made you down here with tears and smiles
Your comfort we find with no one other
We love you and thank you, oh Mother dear!
