How do you send your children away
And let them fly on their own, little bird?
To learn, to live, to fend for themselves
For greener pastures, open in the wild.
How can you stay alone & not worry them
Thinking of them, every minute, every day
Looking at the sky, hoping them to come
Can't you be selfish & just let them stay!
Why in the world can they not come to you?
Why in the world should you live all alone?
How, oh little birdie, do you still chirp away
When with so much pain, so old you have grown!
Come, oh little birdie, come into my hands
I know how you feel, for I feel the same way
Together we'll live the remaining of our days
Waiting for those little chirps, now busy away!
