Mother Poem by Rhuta Joshi

Mother

Oh mother your dear tears...

I cry when I'm worried,
I cry when I'm sad,
I cry when I get scoldings,
The scoldings from 'dad'!

I cry when I get frightened,
I cry when I don't gad,
I cry when I'm terrified,
I cry when I lose what I had.

I cry when I get jealous
When I see a pampered lad;
But strange you are my mom,
While thinking I really go mad!

You cry when I get home a trophy,
You cry when you are glad?
You cry when 'I' make mistake,
You cry when 'I' am bad?

You are really strange my mom,
That's all I can say;
Weird are the tears from your eye,
That also cries when I cry.

You cry when you are happy,
And also when you are sad;
You really keep confusing me while crying,
Whether you are sad or glad!

Oh mother your dear tears...
