Mother Poem by LostInMyMistakes .

Mother

I know I have been a challenge.
A test for you maybe,
But you've stayed with me through it all.

Seeing you sad and alone makes my heart ache.
Im sorry I've had to leave you behind,
I had no intention of hurting you.

My life was wasted in our town,
My happy childhood washed away by others evil.
I know you tried your best to keep me from,
I am sorry it catches up.

My time here was ticking by the time I set food into that school.
They drained me of joy and left behind a child without will.
Knowing you had to see this hurts unbearably.

I hope you know it wasn't your fault,
You couldn't have know what lingered in that school,
What was killing your little girl.
Clawing at my future.

I love you with all my heart,
I know I never showed.
I wish I could have been better,
Please forgive me.

I will always know you did all you could,
Gave all you had,
To make me happy,
To give me perspective.

I do see it,
I know its too late,
Mother I know.
