O Mother!
you are a marvellous creation
whom God has created for us all
giving a heart that bears an ocean of love
and a head where a spring of reasons doth excel
with a sensible mind you do mull
like a compass to drag us near after the circle
with a steel body you do tirelessly role-
as a feeder, or playmate, or like a nurse to lull
day in and day out to enlighten our soul
you are not a woman but an institution
ever emanates kindness, sacrifice and compassion
and stands solid like a rock
during our every discomfiture and pain
to readily shower comforts like the spring from thy stock
when I gather,
all gems of the world- sapphires, rubies and diamonds
and pile them together unto the sky or the sea beyond
to weigh your stand,
near the gravity of thy self they do lie like a morsel of sand
in your eyes,
i am still a kid and never grown old
i feel blessed,
when you wipe out my sweat and kiss my forehead.
