Mother Bird Poem by Raghurama Raju

Mother Bird

The mother bird was sad
when the wicked wind
uprooted its home!
The mother bird was sadder
when a hunter's arrow
killed its mate!
The mother bird was the saddest
when there was only one
worm in its beak
but six babies in its nest!
