Mother Justice Poem by Sivamadhaviyam Siva Prasad peddi

Mother Justice

Once and only once, Justice yielded:
To Love, Sympathy and Bondage.
It was the moment!
She turned docile and wilted
That was when, the balance tilted.
That's it! She took an oath.
Not to cut any throat.
Then she put her sword down.
Tied with bondage she just decided
To squeeze the venom out of their throat.
Only to soak and drown in its ocean.
In return, the thankless mankind
Replicating the venomous reptiles,
Spread their breed and venomous love.
They started to occupy all over her.
Sick of their greed and their untidy deed
Fearing their lust, the daughter of God,
Once naked and transparent
Unfurled on herself a piece of linen.
She blinded herself from our sight

She now, just awaits her last breath
Praying for our well being and truth,
Looking with optimism into the skies
Through the forcibly blinded eyes.
Still with an unfading smile on her face

Because…

She is a mother, she is the mother,
She is my mother, she is your mother.
The mother of mankind.
