Mother's Love Poem by Swamidhason Francis

Mother's Love

Chirping in glee like flapping birds the cherubs played on the deserted road,
Like a field to play the road lay vacant with its steep slope giving a rolling new
To their birdie ball game; nobody noticed the Road Roller parked in haste off their view.
And it started gliding down the slope to the waiting valley below with rocks broad,

About to crush the children, their game, and their glee; the driveling ones on the road
Too failed to flee; but downward raced the four wheeled killer gaining from slope a new
Velocity that chilled even the setting Sun, as its beaming rays got a tint of the dim view;
Unaware of the melee, yelled the children, still in joy; time sat still on the killing road.

But two eyes rolled in shock, eyeing the rolling death; oh, my children will be grinded!
Out leaped the mother, roaring like a lioness, literally levitating with outstretched hands
Towards the killer Roller, landing in front and planted her feet like iron poles grounded,

And stopped the Roller! Its hand brake was pulled, as she ran to her children, and minded
Not the amazed onlookers. Even the Maker leaned from His heavenly seat to shake hands
With the mother! God is love; love is mother; her selfless love never any dangers minded!
