Motionless Poem by Achilles Karageorgiou

Motionless

I parked outside the place you lived
A barren wasteland with no place to sleep
And you had your back on me
Gazing at the distance,
the Highest mountain.
With the desert air travelling through your hair

Manmade engine got shut down,
To let the silence of the planet have it's fearsome roar sound.

Motionless you kept staring there,
While the first ashes covered what we perceive as light
I took a small step in your direction
Increasing my speed as i approached.

Still motionless you were
While the anger of the earth
Poured it's universal energy above our heads
And that precise moment i managed to wrap my arms around you
Death visited
And we remained motionless.
