Motivation Vs Discipline

In a world of work, I struggle, it's clear, Focus wavers when a subject appears.
Math and science, they demand my attention, Studying for an hour, a constant contention.
But in pursuits I cherish, a different sight, I give my all, with all my might. In speech and debate, my passion ignites, I pour my heart into these fights.
Motivation and discipline, they hold the key, When results don't come, it's hard for me. my first debate, I stumbled on stage,3-3, my record, like a rusty cage.

But progress came, slowly but sure,2-1,3-0, my confidence did endure. At state qualifiers, a moment of grace,6-2, I reached the state's embrace.
So, in this journey, I've learned to cope, With discipline and drive, I'll find my hope. In life's adventure, as I strive and strive, I'll chase my dreams and come alive.
