Mountain - Poem by Charlotte Ballard

My love for you is like
A new mountain pushed
Up by pressures hidden
Deep in my roots, held down
By obligations and truths
Of never mind, and how do you
Do it. The wind brushes
Everything away but the
Essence of who I am
When I am with you.
