Ode To Pizza - Poem by Charlotte Ballard

You delight the nose with evocative
Promise of stringy cheese, pepperoni
And tomato sauce warm. Each piece
Contested over, grabbed, hungered over

Until sated, the hungry hordes retreat
To sofas soft and stretch out feet first.
Til' Breakfast time, tomorrow.

I can smell it now. Was there any left at all for me? (Report)Reply

That dear Charlotte is truly an ode that I can sink my teeth into! Belly full and stretching, good until the next morn... What a cute poem! (Report)Reply
