Mourning Poem by Connor Brown

Mourning

regretful dead
silent mournful pedestrians
roaming blindly through the streets
no where to go
no where to hide
from the darkness that
loomed over us for so long
hateful sun that beat upon
the sad hearts
and remorseless moon
that show their sad faces

no regret for me
for grief like this,
there is no better day for it
