Mourning Of Earth Poem by Ishrat khan

Mourning Of Earth

The sun told moon
'I'm jealous of you
You've grabbed the poet's heart
They write me few
While they write you more in art

The moon smirked
'With loneliness I sit
After the stars have died
In the darkness, I breathe
although shining at nigh

You give them light
you give them vitamin D
to them I'm just a sight
You're worth than me
And you say you're jealous of me?
when you're everything to give! '

The earth interfered,
it sobbed 'They pollute me they kill me
They've made me colourless
Don't you see?
They cause pain making me lifeless

Little do u know! you both r fortunate
For you don't have dwellers
I'm dying here by inhumane
little by little I'm being murdered!
