Mourning, Part 2 Poem by Alexander Foald

Mourning, Part 2

What do you see, far in the distance?
Do you see me, watching you from down here?
Do you see me, crying as you fade into the night?

Clouds wrapped on your body, like a thick fog
The moon shines in your eyes, bright as diamond
The air is thin and cold, choking your throat
But your warmth never leaves my dream

And still the same feeling
Within time and space, so tiresome
Like seeing the same thing over and over again
The ache in my chest, a heartbroken?

What do you feel about me?
Do you feel me in your sleep, in your arms?
Do you feel me in the warmth of the sun?
Do you feel me when you are in anger?
Do you feel me when you’re close to me?

‘Cause I miss your smile, which calms me when it storms
I miss your eyes, which make me feel at home
I miss you whispering on my ears at night
And I miss your presence so much in my life
