Move On Poem by Nick Downer

Move On

I can't be,
Who you want me to be.
So I better give up trying,
And just let myself fall.
Cuz I'm just me,
Just innocent me,
And I guess I'm just not,
What you're looking for at all.

There's so many faces,
And names are a haze,
And I can't find myself,
In this infinate maze.
My logic's distorted,
But I see reality,
I can see what you want,
And it just isn't me.

I try to explain,
Always trying to explain,
No one can hear me,
But I still know I'm right.
I don't wanna listen,
I can't stand to listen,
Wasting my time with,
'Who knows' or 'it might'.

Cuz there's so many faces,
And names are a haze,
And I can't find myself,
In this infinite maze.
My logic's distorted,
But I see reality,
I can see what you want,
And it just isn't me.

So I'll just have to deal,
With the way that I feel.
Push on and push past,
You're not the first,
You're not the last.
I have done this before,
I can do it once more!
