Moving To The Promise Land Poem by Alawoki Akeem

Moving To The Promise Land

Rating: 5.0

When we moo about in search of grass,
We consume little greens and fail to defecate
On the terrestrial for a replacement
Our breast below leak
As we waste our precious milk

Our head has in many times failed
To lead we the legs to the promise field
Our horns has not been so strong
Strong enough to scare away our evil strangers
Our tails has never been effective to scare away our foe, insect

Our light has stop being our sight
Rather, being our foe in darkness
Our ears a times controls our eyes
But our head still fail to locate the promise land
Like the chameleon faeces, our affairs has been so cumbersome

Other cows are fat
But as for us, we are skinny and light
Our milk attracts our stranger-friends
But we fail to let them know their stand
The mouth on our head is only interested in bread
And fail to moo for the truth

Our teeth
Only knows how to chew
But does not have a canine to bite
Oh! We have been infected
By these dreadful tsetse flies
Now we don't know more or less than to sleep

Surely, Someday,
We will be in MAY
And our head shall bare an ache
Then we shall be set for a true search of the place
I mean the promise field
All these without our head
And our breast shall leak no more
