Mr. Lennon And I Poem by Vanya White

Mr. Lennon And I

I know they say only the good die young
but you didn't deserve it at all
I wasn''t born early enough
to see your rise and fall
If we would have met
I can bet
I would have bowed to you,
my black hair not long enough
to grace the ground in which you haved
walked upon.
You and me, Mr. Lennon
would have talked of peace until
the very break of dawn
Drinking cider
You made my heart feel so much lighter
You and I, Mr. Lennon.
You would have been my very best friend
If your life could extend
But you''re still alive to me
and forever may you be
