Mr. Too Good To Be True Poem by Nikiesha Richards

Mr. Too Good To Be True

Rating: 3.5

He stood there across the room, looking all fine
I began to imagine that he was already mine
A body like that, he gotta be a constant at the gym
Ooh! I would give my right arm to be alone with him

Admiring the way he looked in those pants
With some girls in the corner hoping for a chance
Wearing a shirt that was nice and neat
In a cool air conditioned room I was in so much heat

Oh my gosh he’s coming over for some punch
I popped a mint, so he wouldn’t know what I had for lunch
The closer he came the more I got weak
Then he said hello, and I couldn’t even speak

He then started to speak in a language I couldn’t understand
Ooh! How disappointed I was listening to this man
So I got impatient could not wait for him to finish
Can you believe that hello was the only word he knew in English
