Much Like Adam's Rib Poem by Long Tooth

Much Like Adam's Rib

In the very beginning God gave you a soul
Much like Adam's rib, bonding was really His goal.
A soul linked to His own was a gift that did mark you,
Though born in His image, home grown point of view.

There's indelible link between father and child
And through Grace are your various views reconciled,
Still as children it's easy to pooh-pooh this insight,
Forgetting we're never alone in the night!

There is Grace in the fact that we're fashioned by God,
It is Grace that the Father sees thru our facade,
Always Grace when we feel His love clearing our pathway
And Grace in His wisdom that taught us to pray.

Even sins of our parents on earth can be grace
Just one look at our lives and we're all saving face
No mistake is worth eternal shaming or judgment
Provision of Grace is an infinite tent.
