Mulberry Leaves And Other Haikus Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Mulberry Leaves And Other Haikus

our mulberry leaves
ageing-like hearts turned gold
the depths of winter
*

the blueberry leaves
their glowing a furnace red
cattle bedding down
*

here cattle and sheep
meander -- graze in the valley
white-tailed eagles
*

white-tailed eagles
know a lamb when they see one
table of the gods
*

leaning on a staff
observing White-tailed eagles
a herds boy strolling
*

cicadas flapping
like chickens about to lay
white-noise all day
*

the cicada's song
makes me long for the silence
tinnitus - byte waves
*

high noon and lotus
flowers - they hide their white blooms
so - stars can reflect
*

petals are flying
in pink spiral swirls like pearls
ah - cherry blossom
*

lavish blossoms fall
dance on the wind like a girl
a goddess to all
*

she my one true love
I'll name her simply White-jade
first April snowfall
*

the gauzed window
holds a dewy spider's web
feasting has begun
*

how lonely the moon
when it's gauzed like a widow
tears in the night sky
*

flattened fabrics
laced with a bounty of stars
sleeping meadow grass
*

crystal brooks moonlit
sliver down the mountainside
welcoming chimney
*

please ask nothing more
nightingales in the evening
blackbirds in the morn
*

feathery white clouds
circle their invitations
letters of a kind
*

eyes on the prize
they bite a hold on each limb
and tear at the lamb
*

my child plays pollo
riding on a kitchen broom
I'm torn to join in
*

I am whole - complete
either with or without you
like moonlit flowers
*

one day sunrise
how beautiful your eyes are
same time tomorrow
*

submerged halfway
you are earthed between two realms
above as below
*

breaths of pure sorrow
I'm chanting for the beauty
I'll dream tomorrow
