Multi-Tasking Poem by Francis Emegwali

Multi-Tasking

Rating: 3.5

Yes this stubborn task!
You keep jumping off my hands.
A task at a time i told myself.
Focusing on the core i took as strategy.
Yet the little ones distract me,
My stomach sends the hunger wave.
My brain reminds me about the ones i love.
Fatigue send sleep signals.
Is it just the task?
or am i focus-less?
Remain Focused,
i told myself.
To do list i pend.
with a TKO they fell one after another.
yes!
Cold beer on my mind
A reward for accomplishment.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Just at the point i want to get things done everything seems very interesting.
it's a big battle between getting the job done and every other interesting thing around.
I encourage myself with a present for every task that is completed, and this allows me to focus knowing that a gift awaits me on conclusion.
