Mummy, Daddy, Where Are You? Poem by Vision Ghost

Mummy, Daddy, Where Are You?

Rating: 5.0

I can’t remember how I got here
As all I feel is just so much fear
Can’t see anything but darkness
Tied and forgotten in blackness

Mummy, Daddy, Where are you?
Please come find me soon
Mummy, Daddy, Where are you
I don’t like this place anymore

Tied and my body hurts everywhere
And all I smell is him upon the air
Said he was going to be my friend
Did things to me to make me bend

I can’t taste but blood upon my lips
Frightened biting my fingertips
Wish I could cry but he will hear me
I just want him to set me free

Mummy, Daddy, Where are you?
Tell him to stop hurting me
Mummy, Daddy, Where are you
Please take it all away

Was I naughty somehow and bad?
Was it the lie I told so I wasn’t sad?
Why can’t I have my friends to play?
Will I ever see them again to say?

I love you

Mummy, Daddy, Where are you?
Please find me safe in heaven
Mummy, Daddy, Where are you
Please let me play with angels

OmG! Every childs and parents worst nightmare. I know you are a parent yourself and looking out for your child is the most important job anyone can do. Having to leave our kids with carers is bad enough, but finding those carers abusing our kids and our trust, is something that we all have to think very deeply about, you never can tell....I felt the pain of this childs cries for help and the guilt they express in the piece, is also typical of a childs mind and it allows the abuse to carry on. I always have talked to my kids, and listened out for any underlying problems in order to draw them out and deal with them....We all want the best for our children my friend, great write. Smilng at you, Tai
