Murder Of The Butterfly Poem by Emily Myers

Murder Of The Butterfly

Rating: 5.0

In the silence I hear soft and convicting
The scream of a butterfly, loud and unnerving
Caught in a gossamer web layered with dew
The spider advances and the terror is new
The scream of a butterfly is painfully raw
With the sound of an angel, burning in hell
No sirens come, no flashing lights, just a spider and a scream
Then silence comes and now I know, its just natures vicious game
