Music Mechanic Poem by Anthony Joseph Mendez

Music Mechanic

Pull your heart into my drive
I'll patch her up, just enough to get by
Baby she left me too
This guitars got me singing about something...
Something new
Sit back and let your troubles drift
Ain't got the funds but my music serves them tears...
It's my gift
I see your hands shaking, baby don't panic
I know you're broken but I'm the music mechanic

love songs, I know a few
If I break the strings, I'll sing for you
I see your hands shaking, baby don't panic
I know your heart is broken but I'm the music mechanic

You say your daddy's dying
Baby aren't we all?
I heard on the news, bout the shoot out at the mall
News man said 'Down Town Kid might never walk again'
As for the other guy, prospect ain't as good...they said
Life's full of folks gone manic
I see your hands shaking, baby don't panic
I know this world's broken but I'm the music mechanic

love songs, I know a few
If I break them strings, I'll sing for you
I see your hands shaking, baby don't panic
I know your heart is broken but I'm the music mechanic
