Musings Poem by Shruti Goswami

Musings

The clouds gently float by;
Across the sky, as I watched in wonder;
Thinking aloud;
Are the clouds really flowing by,
Or is the earth going round?
Why does it make no noise?
Like the winds who howl and moan;
Or make the lashing sound of waves;
Does it not have any voice?
And the trees so hustle and bustle,
When the breeze teases them,
Why then do they not make a sound,
When they are ruthlessly fell?
The scorching sun, it makes us run
For the heat, it's unbearable,
Why then does the ozone stay still,
Having a hole in it is no big fun.
Or is it so, as their patience stretch,
They'll unite someday, in unison fetch
Conjure up such an image;
All living beings boasting of life;
Will dissolve forever,
In absolute silence.
