Walking - Poem by Shruti Goswami

Tit- bits of good mornings
Wafted through the air
Like the fragrance of lavender
Flowers on the window pane
Mornings were once good
Than the alarm clock
Made me feel
Even without the kisses
The greetings made my day
The little efforts
The morning smile
Made all the worries go away
But like all good things come to an end
You ended them
All too abruptly
It was always an uneven equation
You see
The cup of romance
Tilted, tilted
Toppled over, finally
Never thought winning over was a game
That started as efforts
And ended as blames
Life is not about safe shelters
When things are rough
Life is just
Walking together in the rains.
