My Addiction Poem by Mark Ruiz

My Addiction

You sit there, dark-eyed, waiting.
At times I think of you.
My life revolves around you.
My hands hold another now.
One who allows me to be me.
Instead of what you say I should be.
I won't waste my life on you.
I'm glad to be free of you.
