My Aim Poem by Purnima Arha

My Aim

The Moon may be transmundane
but still it shines in darkness
It has no virtue
In the light of the DAY

If it is so divine
then why does it have to
take the shelter of the night
To shine

Moon makes the world
appear to be very beautiful
but the sun erases the phantasma
Brings to us the reality
so inescapable

Though the moon is pleasing to the eyes
I would rather be with the glaring sun
Because it is the ordainer of life

Being a believer of light
this the only religion I have
To follow the effulgence

If i ever get to be one of them
I would like to be the SUN
Even if I keep burning within
Eternally

Just being a showcase
Of the heaven
Can never be my AIM.
