You are the kind of friend
that wipes away the tears.
You comfort like an angel
that also calms my fears.

I'm lucky to know you
and call you my best friend.
You're always there for me
when I am at wits end.

You know just what to say
when I just want to die.
During the hard times
you encourage me to try.

I can't thank you enough
for the person that you are.
We talk and write letters
even though you live far.

Friends forever and always
we stay close in thought.
Past and present days
have really meant a lot.

I hope that I can be there
through the good and bad.
I want you to be happy
and forget what makes you sad.

Love is but a friendship
that grows as time goes by
Don't hesitate to call me
even if you need to cry.
