My Belief Poem by lulu holt

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, Insure domestic tranquility, Provide for the common Defense, Promote the General Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United Stated of America.
We may not always get what we want, we may not always succeed, and we may not always have our plans go the exact way that we planned them, but we can always count on one major fact… that though what we want may be out of reach, we can always dream, that though we may not succeed, at least we tried, and though our plans may not go as smoothly as we planned them, at least we had plans, at least we have plans, and that just makes life all the more worth pursuing.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
