My America ——
I love the morning over open fields,
The city lights, the mountain streams,
The quiet towns, the crowded streets,
The restless hearts that chase their dreams.
I love the voices—different, countless—
That rise and mingle, side by side,
From every shore and every story,
With room enough for all inside.
I love the hands that built these places,
The ones that planted, taught, and healed,
The workers, dreamers, brave and humble,
Whose hopes became the roads we yield.
I love the promise, ever reaching,
Not perfect, finished, fixed, or still,
But something we can keep pursuing,
With open hearts and stubborn will.
From amber waves to oceans shining,
From prairie wind to harbor blue,
America, with all your struggles,
I love the possibilities in you.
