My Best Friend Poem by Todd Allen

My Best Friend

My best friend waits for me at the door when I'm not at home,
cuddles up next to me when I'm all alone,
barks at an intruder without fright,
takes me out for a walk every night,
trusts me, unconditionally, all the time,
even when I'm sometimes angry and not always kind.
My best friend loves ME, an old clod.
My best friend is a treasured gift from God.
