My Best Friend Poem by Aremo Aanuoluwapo

My Best Friend

My best friend is always my guest
To dine and wine in my fest
It's nothing more.

My best friend catches me when I fall
To have a narration topped with exaggeration
of heroic deeds purely null.

My best friend lends a shoulder to cry upon
My tears an expressed burden to carry on
A pool never easing her malice filled orbs.

My best friend, a support when life sorrow blasts
Snatches tunes from the rythmn of my misery
A melody to dwell in while it lasts.

You! My best friend, for why my guard now up-built
A blockage to the world or rather you.
Why need an enemy with a friend like you! ?
