My Birthday Is Tomorrow Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

My Birthday Is Tomorrow

My love, my birthday is tomorrow
And let us put away the face of sorrow
Enough!
Enough I had!
What be let be
At least a day, two days
For after all the birthday ends tomorrow
And then the same old routine of sorrow upon sorrow
And waning till grave and tomb, my Monsignor.
