My Cat The Acrobat Comments

Inky was a special cat Although she was more than that. For you see she could retrieve (This you must believe.) When a green bean from the fridge was selected For her alone, (it was suspected) And tossed across the oaken floor A goodly distance and much more, She in hot pursuit would go Catching it as it slid toward the door, Then in mouth she would kindly grasp And return to the sender (Oh so fast) As if to say, in a Cat's special way, Throw it again so we can continue to play! But when she tired of this game Her response was always the same, Ignore that pesty bean and let it lie (But always keeping it in a cat's eye) So that if you attempted To pick it up, she'd saved Just a bit of energy, all the same And was ready to restart the game. s

This made me laugh out loud, Theresa! We have 8 cats AND hardwood floors in a huge house where my cats entertain us every day - slipping, sliding, and hiding in many obscure places! Thanks for posting this very funny poem!
