My Child
Someday, you will awake
And my lifeless arms
Will surround you.
You will look up
And ponder
Where I am now.
The stars will surround you
They will lift you
Reaching for what
Is beyond
That you will someday
Know.
Cast away
The miracles
Replace them with
The gold
That you have enriched me with
In my time.
Realize
My dear child
I have gifted you with
Your time
So short in this world
To shine.
