My Cure Poem by Jessica Maria Cruz

My Cure

Take me in your hands today,
Reach into my mind for sure,
Quickly take my thoughts away,
Pretend that you're my cure.
Make me need you more each day,
Until I loose my self for sure.

Fix me pleasant,
Make me numb.
Prove this pain is passant,
Pretend to be my sternum.
Take a paint brush,
Paint me different,
Cover all my lush,
Make me reverent,
Fill me up with plush.

Sleep me through the night and day,
Give me empty dreams.
Store my laughs and cries away,
Make sure to hide the seams.

You took all that was left of me,
So that I changed my view,
But I became blind to see,
I was someone I no longer knew.

Take back all this nothingness,
Give me back my laughs and cries,
I no longer want pleasantness,
I won't be filled with lies.

I don't mind all there is to come,
The pain, the strife, or anxiousness,
I want to loose this emptiness,
Before I get too numb.

I Finally let you go that day,
this time i'm very sure,
It doesn't matter what they say,
I'll become my own cure.
