My Dad Has Tears Poem by Pam Fraser

My Dad Has Tears

Rating: 3.8

Why Dad are you so sad? I hate to say this, but
I’m feeling kind of glad to see you so sad.
There is one thing you did teach me
Dad, is I knowing the meaning of sadness.

Dad, what is it?
Is it? That, you have intense scent of
failure on you? “As my father“?

As, I try to gather all my thoughts,
I am finally feeling.
The feelings of gladness.
To see you hurt.
Because all I remember,
you making feel me feel like dirt.

I see the tears rolling down your face,
but they can’t erase all
what you have done to me,
I still feel all the pain.

All the suffering you put me though.
When I was little, and as a adult.
As, result of all this
What do you want from me?

I want you to know this
is, I have tried so hard to forgive you
everytime I try to live
You come back in my life
Then, leave.

I am tired of going through
the lies you tell,
and giving me sorrow.

Saying “I want to have a family”.
I ‘ll be back tomorrow.
You don’t show up again for
every couple of years.

Well! Dad, your tears mean nothing
to me because to you my tears
meant nothing to you.

'You don’t show up again for every couple of years.' That couplet makes no sense. It should be' 'You don't show up (again) for a couple of years' The 'again' is not needed so I put it in parentheses.
