My Dead End Poem by Tamika Taylor

My Dead End

Rating: 1.5

I sit here thinking about life.

I drive out in the rain,
Trying to block the pain.

The road stretches on and on,
Waiting for the darkness to engulf me.

Trees surrounding me,
Laughing and screaming at me.

Some tall and some short,
Trees of all sort.

Driving and driving.
Driving and driving,
Watching some of the tree dying.

The road getting steeper,
Even though I try to go higher.

I see the road 'bout to end,
So I speed up at the bend.

I strayed off the road,
Didn't want to jump out the car like a toad.

Goodbye my friend,
Because now I've hit my dead end.
