My Dear Friend Poem by Ruth Verch

My Dear Friend

Hidden agenda perculating beneath a facade. Never knowing what to believe, she puts her faith in fantacy. It's not her fault. Optimisim is her fortay. Posting a watchful eye, I lend comfort. She deserves more. Untamable and insaitiable, soaking up life like there's no tomorrow. She should be free from such gut wrenching sorrow. Brave face, true grit chugging on to new horizons. Strong like bull, she fabricates indifference. She misses the days when her world was fresh and disappointment was but a word. I'd give anything to make that wish a reality.
